Tetsuya Shoji

Mr. Tetsuya Shoji is the President and CEO of NTT Communications Corporation (NTT Com), one of the world's largest telecommunications carriers and an ICT service provider for both consumer and global enterprises.

Before becoming president in June 2015, Mr. Shoji was a Senior Executive Vice President responsible for group sales and corporate management from June 2012.

Mr. Shoji established the NTT Deutschland GmbH in reunified Germany in 1991. He obtained an MBA from New York University in June 1982.

Mr. Shoji began his career in telecommunications at Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Public Corporation in April 1977, following his graduation from the University of Tokyo with a degree in economics. He is the father of two daughters.

He enjoys playing golf, walking and skiing, as well as watching rugby, baseball and especially motorsports. He also loves driving. One of his favorite mottos is "If everything seems under control, you're not going fast enough," a quote by the accomplished professional racer, including F1 champion, Mario Andretti.
